FDL Police Welcome Two New Officers with “Pinning” Ceremony

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department held a pinning ceremony Wednesday afternoon to welcome two newly appointed officers. Tyler Fink and Kali Thompson have successfully completed the thirty five week Police Basic Recruit Academy and field training and are now ready to handle the duties and challenges faced by police officers. Police Chief Bill Lamb led the ceremony.

Tyler Fink was a graduate of Hortonville High School in 2009 and joined the United States Marine Corps. In 2010. He served for six years which included a combat tour in Afghanistan. Since then he has completed his degree and worked as Corrections Officer at the Waupaca County Jail prior to being hired by the Fond du Lac Police Department.

Kali Thompson grew up in Oshkosh and later attended the Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree and became a Certifiable Law Enforcement Officer through their Police Academy. Kali is currently working on her Bachelors degree from UW Oshkosh. Both Tyler and Kali began their field training in October 2018.
