FDL School Board Approves Issuing Of Teacher Contracts

The issuing of teacher contracts was approved by the Fond du Lac School Board Monday. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says there are about 540 teachers in the District. He says by state law they have to issue the contracts by May 15th and they have to be returned by June 15th. He says teachers are important in the District’s role of educating students. He says they are great people and drive the school district. He says they make up a large percentage of the District’s employees and are the ones at the ground level with the kids on a daily basis making a difference. He says a scheduled legislative update with State Representative Gordon Hintz has to be rescheduled with the Board. He says Hintz’s Joint Finance Committee background will be exceptional for the Board to hear. They learned last Friday that Hintz had to attend a meeting Monday afternoon scheduled for the state’s Joint Finance Committee.
