FDL School District Applying for School Safety Grant Money

The Fond du Lac School District is applying for $300-thousand dollars from a state grant to enhance safety at all of their buildings. The money would go towards film that makes glass shatter-proof, security cameras, and a software system that provides automatic background checks. Superintendent Jim Sebert tells us they have to walk a line between community involvement and student safety. The state has authorized $100-million dollars to be distributed to schools through the newly formed Office of School Safety.
