FDL School District Meal Costs to Hold Steady in 2019-20 School Year

Breakfast and lunch prices for students in the Fond du Lac School District will remain the same in the next school year. The school board voted at its meeting Monday to hold meal prices steady for the 2019-2020 school year, something Superintendent Jim Sebert says is a good thing for families in the district. “We’ve been able to keep them the same now for the past couple of years,” Sebert said. “Prior to that, we had to keep increasing them to coincide with the federal reimbursement rate – and there’s a correlation there, that you have to be within a certain dollar amount. We’re now in that range, and so every year we can keep them the same, we think that’s a real victory for kids and families, and we’re happy to do it.”

Breakfast costs $1 per meal for the elementary level, $1.15 for Middle School, and $1.15 to $1.90 for the high school. Lunch costs $2.55 per meal at the elementary level, $2.75 at the Middle School Level and ranges from $2.75/$3.00/$3.85 at the High School level. Meal costs for adults in the district include Breakfast: $1.30/$2.15/$3.70 and Lunch: $3.40/$3.65/$4.65.
