FDL School District participates in Trees for Tomorrow

The Fond du Lac School District participated in the 4th Grade Trees for Tomorrow program again. Fond du Lac High School’s Environmental Club celebrated Arbor Day and Earth Day by giving a tree to every fourth grade student in the Fond du Lac School District. Fourth (4th) Grade Trees for Tomorrow is a partnership between participating school districts and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). According to program coordinator Joe Fenrick,  over 600 trees were handed out this year and the program hit a milestone handing out their 7000th tree since the program expanded 10 years ago . This year the Wisconsin DNR provided 2-year-old white spruce trees to the fourth graders.
