FDL School District Recognizing “Friends of Education”

The Fond du Lac School District is handing out several
awards this month – including a couple for local Friends of Education. The
award thanks people for their involvement in improving the education of
students in the district. This year, Superintendent Jim Sebert says Bob Roehrig
and Pat Smith are being recognized for their contributions to the Career Construction Academy
and a new building expansion set to open in the fall. Sebert says “we’ve really got some incredible energy behind that initiative because
of those two gentlemen. And we have lots of business partners now, where we
started with just a handful of people around the table.” The school district also
met with the STEM institute Monday night to renew a five-year contract.
