FDL Shooting Suspect Sentenced

The 30-year-old Fond du Lac man suspected of shooting off a gun outside the Main Pub in downtown Fond du Lac last September has been sentenced to prison. Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm sentenced Marcus Britton this morning to 4 years in prison and 4 years of extended confinement. He will also have to pay a $200 fine and court costs. Other charges were read into the record and dismissed. Britton was sentenced on discharging a firearm within 100 yards of a building, misdemeanor marijuana possession and disorderly conduct charges. No one was hurt during the incident last September 28th. Britton fired the gun into the air.
