FEA Co President Makes Several Proposals To FDL School Board

Fond du Lac Education Association Co-President Bill Morgan took time during the Fond du Lac School Board meeting to make two proposals to the Board. Morgan, a Social Studies teacher at the High School, suggested an “Adopt-a-School” program for board members. He says the idea is to have each of the seven board members adopt two schools each semester, which would give them a chance to visit and learn more about the schools.  New school board member Monica Walk likes the idea. She says she visited some of the schools while campaigning for the school board and welcomes the suggestion. Morgan also suggested holding Board-Teacher conferences similar to Parent-Teacher conferences, which he says would give board members a different perspective about what goes on in classrooms.
