Feyen Talks About Senate Republicans Budget Proposals

State Senator Dan Feyen says Senate Republicans have come up with proposals for the state budget to keep the state’s transportation projects going. He says included in the budget is a proposal to have someone from outside the state review the DOT  to make sure they are efficient and cost effective.  He says they are also including $350 million in the DOT budget for southeast Wisconsin megaprojects such as the Zoo Interchange and a stretch south of Milwaukee. He says money is also included to finish a project on I-41 at the 441 Interchange in Neenah. They’ve also proposed borrowing $896 million. He says that is about $230 million more than what the Governor proposed, but is the least amount of bonding they have done in the last ten years.
