Fight Leads to Officer Calling in Help

Two people are in custody following a fight and a scary moment for a Fond du Lac police officer. The officer came across the fight in a parking lot at Maplewood Commons during a routine patrol around 9:10pm Wednesday night.

A group of people who were watching the fight began crowding around the officer – which prompted his call for some extra help. He was able to separate the individuals involved in the fight as additional officers, sheriff’s deputies, and State Patrol troopers responded to assist.

The situation was deescalated about ten minutes after the first report, and additional squads were called off. A 24-year old man and a 45-year old man – both from Illinois – were arrested for disorderly conduct.
