Fire At Sadoff Iron & Metal
Fond du Lac firefighters responded to a call about smoke in a hydraulic pump house at Sadoff Iron & Metal last night. The call came in at 8:42 p.m. for the fire at 240 West Arndt Street. When firefighters arrived flames and heavy smoke were coming from the building. The fire was extinguished, but not before it caused damage to the structure and hydraulic pump. The fire is believed to have started accidentally by workers that were using a torch to cut a metal chute from a piece of machinery connected to the building. No injuries were reported. City Police assisted with traffic control. Fond du Lac Fire Department photo.
