Fire Damages Truck And Two Adjacent Homes

The Fond du Lac Fire Department late Sunday morning put out a truck fire that damaged the truck and homes adjacent to it at 115 E. 12th Street. The truck was parked in a driveway between two homes and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. A neighbor alerted the truck’s owner about the fire and 911 was called. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says fire crews were able to extinguish the fire before too much damage was caused to the two homes that share the driveway. The fire appears to have been a result of smoldering ashes that were in two plastic containers in the rear bed of the truck. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries. The Fond du Lac Police Department assisted with traffic control. The time of the fire call was 11:10 a.m. Photo courtesy Fond du Lac Fire Department.
