Fire Damages Washington County Home

Fire significantly damaged a home in Washington County’s Town of Farmington early Monday morning. Sheriff’s officials say a neighbor called 911 after seeing flames coming for the rear portion of the two-story home at 7720 Tomahawk Drive. Smoke detectors woke the four residents of the home and they were able to safely escape from it. Six fire departments battled the blaze. The fire spread into the attic of the residence. There was severe fire, smoke and water damage to it. Initial indications are the fire was most likely electrical in nature.
