Fire Extinguisher Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sent out a notice Thursday saying more than 40 million fire extinguishers have been recalled. They may not work in an emergency and are linked to one death. Extinguishers failed to function for emergency personnel during a car wreck in 2014. The extinguishers were made by Kidde and the recall covers 134 models of push-button and plastic-handle extinguishers in the U.S. and Canada made from 1973 through August 15th of this year. The agency says the extinguishers can become clogged and fail to spray when needed.
