Firefighters Gearing Up for Fill the Boot

The City of Fond du Lac Fire Department Local 400 is preparing to kick off their Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to support to Muscular Dystrophy Association. As part of the more than sixty-year tradition, firefighters will hit the streets with boots in hand asking for donations on August 9^th, 10^th, and 16^th. 

The money helps families of people with muscular dystrophy, funds research and programs to study the disease, and send fifty local kids to an MDA summer camp. 

Across the country last year, over 100,000 firefighters took part in Fill the Boots events, raising over $24 million. Since 1954, the campaign has raised $630 million for the MDA.
