Flu Risk High

The risk of getting the flu is reaching a peak in the area. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller tells us right now the risk is high. She recommends getting a flu shot if you haven’t already. Both Influenza A and B strains have hit people in the area. The flu shots cover both strains. The County just got it first reported case of Influenza B. Mueller notes the flu will be with us for another 3 or 4 months. She says if you get the flu and got a flu shot that should lessen the impact of the symptoms and reduce your recovery time.
