Fondy Archers Compete At Nationals

Fond du Lac School District’s Straight
From Fondy Archers competed at the S3DA National Tournament, June 16-18 at
Metropolis, IL.  Archery teams across the
U.S. came to test their skills where all archers are required to shoot on two
different days and ranges each day.  In
each division, archers are required to shoot different distances. Top shooters
then advance to a shoot down to finalize their score and place for the
tournament. Tessa Wirtz placed second overall for all Middle School Females in
the U.S. shooting a 444-13X, and placing second in her division.  Briar Wirtz placed fourth in Elementary Open
Male Division, and seventh overall for Elementary Males. Carmyn Herbeck placed
eighth in Elementary Open Female Division. Tori Schmidt placed 40th in Middle
School Female Fixed Pin Division. Brady Buss placed eighth in Middle School
Male Open Division shooting a 422-13X and 15th overall for Middle School Males.
In the same division Sam Schaefer placed 37th. 
Riley Sabel shooting High School Open Male Division placed tenth with a
420-17X.
