Fondy Man Gets Probation For Incident At Elementary School

The 55-year-old Fond du Lac man who pulled a knife on another parent at Evans Elementary School last May has been placed on probation for three years. Leonard Dake entered an Alford plea in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday to a 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety charge. An Alford plea is not an admission of guilt, but recognition that if a case went to trial the jury would likely find guilt. Other charges were read into the record and dismissed.  Dake lunged at an off-duty firefighter/ paramedic when the other man confronted him about a reckless driving incident at the school last May 28th.  No one was hurt in the incident, but a police officer had to use a stun gun to bring Dake under control.
