Former Mayville Police Chief Waives Court Hearing

Former Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Dodge County Court Thursday. MacNeill is facing misconduct in office and obstructing an officer charges. He stepped down this past March  after 17 years with the department. The 48-year-old allegedly altered documents in 2011 to help the son of a Mayville police officer get into the army, changing the report from being a “drug possession” case to a “school medication violation.” That police officer is now the Cudahy police chief. A telephone scheduling conference is scheduled in the case on August 23rd.
