Former Senate Majority Leader Says Thompson Right Choice For UW

Former Senate Majority Leader Tim Cullen thinks the UW Board of Regents made the right choice by selecting former Governor Tommy Thompson as the interim president of the UW system.

“He was Governor of Wisconsin, and he was supportive of the University, and all those folks haven’t forgot that.”

The Democrat from Janesville credited Thompson, a Republican, for his past efforts at compromise rather than engaging in partisan posturing.
