Former UW Student Sentenced for Sexual Assaults

A former UW-Madison student has been sentenced to three years in prison for a series of sexual assaults on campus. 22-year old Alec Cook will also spend five years on extended supervision – along with three years of probation for other felonies. He will be required to register as a sex offender for fifteen years after prison and probation ends. Cook pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual assault – along with strangulation and stalking. Eleven women came forward claiming to be victims of his actions.
