Fox Lake Murder Suspect Seeking New Lawyer

The 37-year-old Fox Lake man accused of murdering his girlfriend is seeking new counsel. Laverne Ware Jr.’s attorney Anne Bowe withdrew her services after Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg filed a motion to disqualify her from the case. Klomberg maintains that Bowe assisted in paying large sums of money to witnesses at Ware’s request. The mother of the victim contacted the DA’s office last month and informed them that she received a check from Bowe’s office. Five previously scheduled arraignments had been either postponed or canceled because of council and judicial changes. The judge has granted Ware 30 days to find new representation. Last December Ware’s 27-year-old girlfriend, Sesalie Dixon, was found in the cab of his pick-up truck inside a Fox Lake garage with a gunshot wound to the head.
