Fox Lake Woman Found Competent To Stand Trial For Aiding Murder Suspect

The 65-year-old Fox Lake woman suspected of helping her son hide the body of a murder victim has been found competent to stand trial. Marjorie Jones was in Dodge County Court Thursday while the results of a competency exam were discussed. District Attorney Kurt Klomberg opposed the review after Jones’ attorney requested it last week. Klomberg said it was a ploy by the defense to postpone a week-long jury trial which is scheduled to start Monday. The 65-year-old is charged with a felony count of Aiding a Felon. Her son, Laverne Ware Jr., is suspected of killing his girlfriend Sesalie Dixon in December of 2016. Her body was found in the cab of Ware’s pickup truck parked inside the garage of Jones’ boyfriend Vernon Mickey.
