Fresh Start For Hwy 23 Project

State Senator Dan Feyen feels we have to move past frustration over delays in the Highway 23 expansion project between Fond du Lac and Plymouth and get a fresh start. That start includes $19 million in the state budget. That will help with some restoration work that was already part of the plan. Meanwhile the state DOT and Federal Highway Administration are preparing a supplemental environmental impact study addressing a federal judge’s concerns about a previous study. Feyen says if that is accepted it should restore federal funding to the project. Feyen says the expansion of the highway will address safety concerns and keep the local economy strong.
