Fuel Quality Complaints New To Top Ten List

The state’s Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection recently released its list of the Top Ten Consumer Complaints for 2017. Telemarketing and Landlord/Tenant complaints topped the list again although telemarketing was number one by far with over 4,100 complaints. Michelle Reinen is the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection she says sneaking in at number ten was a new complaint. They got 113 complaints about fuel quality. She says that involved someone who believed they had gotten the wrong kind of gasoline at the pump. Reinen says, “Usually we see consumers complaining because something will have gone wrong with the vehicle or the engine and so the repair guy may tell them that the grade of gasoline wasn’t what it should have been.”
