Fugitive Caught In FDL

Fond du Lac Police Saturday night helped the U.S. Marshals service arrest a man who had escaped a mental health facility in Madison. Authorities had been looking for 30-year-old Graham Stowe since he escaped from the Mendota Mental Health Facility in July. Police were called to the area of West Johnson Street and North Peters Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. to assist the Marshals in Stowe’s arrest. A high-risk traffic stop was performed near Forest Avenue and South Brooke Street. Stowe, who was driving the car, was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on a warrant. A passenger in his car was released to the U.S. Marshals. Prior to his escape Stowe was serving a 39-year sentence at Mendota. He was committed for a Brown County case that involved charges of 1st degree reckless endangerment, intimidation of a victim, three counts of false imprisonment and bail jumping.
