Garage Considered Total Loss in Fire
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and several fire and EMS agencies responded the report of a structure fire along Townline Road in the Township of Friendship on Wednesday. Around 1:30pm Wednesday afternoon, a second citizen caller reported the fire was contained to a detached garage at that time.
Nobody was injured – but the garage, which contained a living quarters and personal vehicle is considered a total loss. Preliminary investigation does not show a suspicious cause of the fire, which is believed to have been started by a heat lamp and electrical box malfunction.
The fire departments from Van Dyne, North Fond du Lac, City of Fond du Lac, Eldorado, Town of Fond du Lac, Rosendale, Lamartine, Oakfield, Ripon, Nekimi, and Rit Team 1 responded to the scene.
