Gas Leak On Winnebago Drive

Fond du Lac Firefighters dealt with a gas leak on Winnebago Drive at Roosevelt Thursday morning. Assistant Fire Chief Todd Janquart says a contractor hit a natural gas main. He says the report they got was that Alliant Energy was on the scene handling a gas leak. KFIZ News asked Janquart how many homes had to be evacuated as a precaution. He says they had evacuated two houses, but were considering evacuating two more. There were no injuries. The gas leak was reported before 8:45 a.m.
