Gas Price Report : WI Average Well Below National Price at Pump

Wisconsin’s average price for a gallon of gas sits well
below the national average as the final week of the summer season begins. Triple-A
says the statewide price for a gallon of regular unleaded sits at $2.48 as of Sunday
night, which is eight cents lower than the nationwide average of $2.56.


The statewide average is down two cents from last week, and
down 13 cents from one month ago. Drivers in Fond du Lac County are seeing an
average price at the pump of $2.42 per gallon. The lowest prices can be found
in Rock County, which sits at $2.37. The highest prices in Wisconsin are found
in Iron County and Price County, at $2.69.


Across the nation, Hawaii has the highest price at $3.64,
with California close behind at $3.62 per gallon. Mississippi has the lowest
price at the pump at $2.19
