Goodrich Little Theatre Hosts Pageants Tonight

FOND DU LAC—The 2018 Miss Fond du Lac, Miss Fond du Lac’s Outstanding Teen, and Miss Wisconsin Central scholarship pageants will take place at 7 p.m. tonight, at Goodrich Little Theatre, 72 West Ninth St. in Fond du Lac.

The event will include the crowning of Miss Fond du Lac, Miss Fond du Lac’s Outstanding Teen, and Miss Wisconsin Central. Seventeen women will vie for titles which will advance them to the state pageant this summer.

Those competing to succeed Miss Fond du Lac 2017, Rachel Dawicki, 20, of Fond du Lac include: Rachel Coulthurst of Sturgeon Bay, Alyssa Dalton of Omro, Amanda Jo McClelland of Berlin, Elle Paveglio of Fond du Lac; Sophie Smith of Rosendale, Madison Supple of Fond du Lac, and Rachelle Christine Wuest of North Fond du Lac.

The teenagers in the 2018 Miss Fond du Lac’s Outstanding Teen pageant who will succeed 2017 teen titlist Eve Vanden Heuvel are: Lauren Bean, Kaytie Butzke, Alaina Sina, Victoria Smith, and returning 2017 entrant Cheyenne Kidrick.

The five women in the 20th annual state open Miss Wisconsin Central pageant, each hoping to succeed Mailany Jane Myrin of Elkhorn, will include: Kristie Dantuma of Rockton, Illin. now a college student at MATC in Madison; Serena J. Larie of Oshkosh; Asja E. Marks of Milwaukee; Catherine Delinda Elaine Smith of Milton; and last year’s Miss Wisconsin pageant first runner-up Tianna Marie Vanderhei of Wisconsin Rapids, who was Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest in 2013.

Myrin was selected as Miss Fond du Lac in 2014 when she attended Ripon College. Last June, while competing in the 2017 Miss Wisconsin pageant, she won the non-finalist interview award.

The women selected as Miss Fond du Lac and Miss Wisconsin Central will compete in the 2018 Miss Wisconsin pageant on June 16 at Oshkosh West High School in Oshkosh. The winner of Saturday’s teen title will advance to the 14th annual Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen pageant on June 15 at Oshkosh.
