GOP Political Mailers Dumped

Update: A federal agency is investigating whether a postal worker
threw out some campaign mailings in the
Neenah
area. The flyers were for two Republican candidates and a third-party group
that’s supporting a G-O-P candidate. Robert Rukes is with the U-S Postal
Service’s Office of Inspector General. He says they got information mail was
discarded inside a dumpster in
Neenah.
Rukes says the mailings were supposed to be delivered last Thursday and that
was done on Friday. One of the flyers was from Republican Mike Rohrkaste of
Neenah. He’s running for
the Assembly in the 55th district. He says the other ones were from Republican
Glenn Grothman and a third-party group that’s backing Republican Roger Roth of
Appleton. Grothman is a
candidate in the sixth congressional districtand Roth is running in the 19th
Senate district. Rohrkaste says it’s disappointing. Rohrkaste says his campaign
had already paid for the postage. He says the
Neenah post office was very responsive.
