Governor Walker Visits Beaver Dam Manufacturer

Governor Scott Walker was in Beaver Dam Friday.  He was at Apache Stainless Steel to help celebrate the manufacturer’s 40th anniversary.  Walker spoke highly of Apache’s contribution to manufacturing statewide and stressed the importance of keeping that field going strong by ensuring young people are aware of the decently paying careers that are available in manufacturing.  After the presentation, the governor took some time to talk politics, including what his plans are now that he has suspended his presidential campaign.  Walker says he plans on serving out his remaining three years as governor and would not commit to whether or not he would run for a third term when this current one expires. While Walker did not completely rule out the possibility of being a presidential running mate if he is asked, he did say that he has no interest in serving on the cabinet or running for a senate seat.  Walker also would not say who he supported to win the republican nomination for 2016.  The  stop in Beaver Dam was Walker’s first public appearance since dropping out of the presidential campaign.
