Grand Opening Slated For Agnesian HealthCare Markesan Clinc And Pharmacy

Agnesian HealthCare is hosting a grand opening celebration to showcase its new clinic and retail pharmacy facility at 730 N. Margaret Street in Markesan on Tuesday, July 21. The free event is set from 6 to 8 p.m. and will begin with an outdoor ribbon-cutting ceremony before opening its door for tours and refreshments.

The new facility – just over 6,000 square feet – opened on Monday, June 29. It features the services of Punit Kumar, MD, internal medicine physician, and Amanda Dickerson, APNP, as well as the Agnesian Pharmacy.

The new facility features a pharmacy drive-thru window on the building’s south side. There is one common entrance to both services with separate waiting areas. It features three exam rooms, a procedure room, accessible parking, as well as a full-service pharmacy.

The Fond du Lac Regional Clinic in Markesan also offers on-site laboratory services. The clinic is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients of all ages are welcome.

The Agnesian Pharmacy Markesan offers a full line of pharmaceutical services. It offers pharmacist consultations within a private office area. It is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Zimmerman Architectural Studios served as architect C.D. Smith Construction as the general contractor for the $2.35 million project.

“This new clinic provides us with continued opportunities to expand our healthcare services to Markesan and surrounding area residents,” says Steve Little, Agnesian HealthCare president and chief executive officer. “The Markesan community itself continues to grow, and we want to be positioned to serve its growing needs through a more modern facility which reflects today’s current medical practices.”

Dr. Kumar says the new clinic is part of the staff’s commitment to continue enhancing care available within the Markesan community.

“A new, larger facility helps us provide our patients with a pleasant environment where they can continue to receive the same quality of medical care they have come to expect from the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and Agnesian Pharmacy,” he says. “It also gives our staff more physical working space that creates a more effective workflow.”

The Markesan clinic and pharmacy connections to the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and Agnesian HealthCare are helping the clinic’s expansion.

“These two organizations are willing to do whatever is necessary to provide the best possible medical care to people in the Markesan area,” says Dickerson. “This is an integral part of our mission. By opening our new clinic and pharmacy, Agnesian HealthCare is showing its commitment to ensuring that the healthcare needs of this area are being met.”
