Green Bay Man Pleads In FDL Stabbing Incident

The 25-year-old Green Bay man who allegedly stabbed four men at a Fond du Lac residence has pled “no contest” to two counts of 2nd degree reckless injury with dangerous weapon enhancers. Roger Maldonado was in a Fond du Lac County Courtroom yesterday for a plea hearing. He faces up to 25 years in prison. District Attorney Eric Toney says the State believes this is an appropriate resolution. The original trial was supposed to be in August, but was adjourned because of a medical issue. It was reset for Monday, but Toney says they had difficulties securing witness availability. The two charges Maldonado pled to our felonies. According to police Maldonado was suspected of stabbing four men during an incident on October 14th of last year at a residence in the 100 block of E. 12th Street. The victims ranged in age from 22 to 44-years-old and were from Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac and Appleton. The catalyst for the stabbing was an argument that began while the group was out at a local tavern and carried over to the residence.
