Groundbreaking For ACE Addition At FDL High School Next Wednesday

A groundbreaking has been scheduled next Wednesday for the Career Construction Academy at the Fond du Lac High School. The facility has undergone a name change and is now known as the Architecture, Construction, Engineering or ACE addition. The groundbreaking will be at 11 a.m. that morning. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says it wouldn’t be happening without the community’s’ support, and that of Bob Roehrig and Pat Smith who led the community partners group that worked on the project. He says, “Along with certainly the very significant support of the Board of Education and their belief in this program being really solid for kids and for the community and for the future workforce of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County and beyond.” Sebert says they held off on breaking ground for the project until the weather was favorable enough for construction. He says, “We wanted to wait ideally until the frost was out of the ground and there is obviously some additional costs when that is not the case, so yeah we will do the groundbreaking next Wednesday.” The groundbreaking will follow a large group committee meeting, which will allow many of the community partners to be present for the ceremony.
