Groundbreaking Held For Ripon College Project

Officials in Ripon Thursday held a groundbreaking ceremony for a $20 million project at Ripon College. The J.M. Storzer Center, health and wellness facilities will be renovated and expanded during the project. Ripon College President Zach Messitte says it will be a state-of-the-art facility that will benefit the whole community. He says it will include a 65,000 square foot field house, track, offices for faculty, class rooms for students, new cardio and weight training spaces and more. He says they hope it will spur economic development in Ripon. Ripon Mayor Gary Will says he’s looking forward to the completion of the project, which will be a source of pride for both the college and Ripon. The project will be done in three phases with total completion in August or September of 2017. It is being paid for through public and private loans, and philanthropy. Ripon College photo.
