Groundbreaking Scheduled For UW FDL Student Housing Facility

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac on-campus housing facility will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the event which will be held outside near the Physical Education Building, located on Campus Drive. Among those scheduled to make remarks are Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel, UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor Cathy Sandeen, UW Colleges Northeast Regional Executive Officer and Dean Martin Rudd, Ken Depperman of the Fond du Lac County Board, and Steve Harms Director of Pre-Construction Services for Tri North Builders. In the event of inclement weather, all groundbreaking activities will be held in the University Center Commons. The 121-bed apartment-style building is scheduled to be ready for students for the fall 2017 semester. (UW-Fond du Lac Facebook photo).
