Harvest Cap Increased For Adult Female Sturgeon

Harvest caps have been increased for adult female sturgeon for the 2016 Sturgeon spearing season on Lake Winnebago and the Upriver Lakes. Sturgeon Biologist Ryan Koenigs (KAY-nigs) says the limit for adult female sturgeon has been increased from 878 to 950. The limit for juvenile females is 430 and for male sturgeon 1,220. Koenigs says for the most part regulations for the 2016 season are similar to seasons past. Hard copies of the regulations are available at licensed vendors around Lake Winnebago.
