Hearing Scheduled For Violent Sex Offender

The violent sex offender who couldn’t be placed in either Washington or Fond du Lac County will have a hearing in May to convince a judge he is no longer a threat to the community and should be discharged from state supervision. That two-day hearing for 62-year-old Terry Olson will be in Washington County Court. Olson was convicted in Washington County in 1990 of sexual assault and in 2002 he was found to be sexually violent.    Olson has been housed at the Sand Ridge treatment facility in Juneau County for more than 15 years. In 2016, Olson petitioned the court for supervised release. The hearing in May is scheduled for May 21st and 22nd.
