Highway 23 Fatal Crash Victim Identified

Lac County
Sheriff’s Office is identifying a man killed in a single-vehicle crash on
Tuesday. 21-year old Ryan Leonard of Fond
du Lac was reportedly wearing his seat belt and
airbags were deployed on the vehicle when he crashed around 2:30am Tuesday
morning. Investigators say he failed to stop for a stop sign at the
intersection of Highway 23 and County
Road I in the Town of Lamartine – before the vehicle went through a
yard, struck a tree, and burst into flames. Investigators also say speed and
alcohol were contributing factors in that crash.
