Hintz Critical Of Child Tax Credit Proposal

The State Assembly Minority Leader is critical of Governor Walker’s proposal to give families a $100 child tax credit for each child in the family. State Representative Gordon Hintz of Oshkosh points out the state will have a $600 or $700 million dollar deficit in the next budget. Hintz says they haven’t seen the proposal and asks if it was a good idea during the State of the State Address why wasn’t it a good idea for the last seven years?  He says, “To just says whether you make $30 million a year or $10,000 a year if you have a kid we’re just going to send you $100 and oh yeah we’re going to send it to you before the election. Give me a break.”
