History At Home Program Looks At Local Soldiers Efforts In WW I

The Fond du Lac Public Library’s popular “History at Home” series tonight will trace the footsteps of local soldiers who served in Europe during World War I. Community Information Coordinator Terri Fleming says local presenters Wayne King and Maureen Bentz will focus on the exploits of Company E, 2nd Regiment Wisconsin. Bentz is a local historian and King is also a historian and served overseas in the U.S. Army for more than 26 years. She says they’ve done their research and took trips overseas to see where those men fought. The 6 p.m. program is free.
