Hotel Retlaw Gets Federal Approval Of Historic Tax Credits

The federal approval for historic tax credits owners of the Hotel Retlaw were waiting for to launch $14 million in renovations to the historic hotel were approved last week. Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership Executive Director Amy Hansen talked about that on the DFP’s segment on KFIZ. She says they were approved last Thursday and that was the last piece of the puzzle holding up redevelopment of the hotel. Hansen says they aren’t sure when the hotel will open, but suspect it will be before next April because the DFP has an event booked at the hotel on April 28th. Tonight the City Council will be asked to approve an application for a state grant that would provide $250,000 in support for the Hotel Retlaw renovation.
