Hurricane Relief Effort Helps

Organizers of a Hurricane relief effort in Fond du Lac are grateful for donations residents brought in over the four-day collection. It ran from last Thursday through Sunday at the Fives Giddings & Lewis parking lot where an Osborn and Son Trucking semi-trailer was parked. Salvation Army Captain Steve Wilson says they managed to fill at least half of the trailer with donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. Pallets and boxes were packed full to the top. The Salvation Army also collected money in a kettle. The total from that collection was $4,387, which will all be donated for hurricane relief. Wilson says many groups and organizations chipped in during that effort and they appreciate every one of them. Mountain Dog Media (owner of KFIZ and 107.1 The Bull) was a media sponsor for the effort.
