Kay Miller Runs For FDL City Council

Dr. Kay Miller is running for a seat on the Fond du Lac City Council. The local chiropractor ran for the County Board last year, but wasn’t able to get that seat. She says one of the things she’d like to see is the City be more accommodating to boaters coming into Lakeside Park with more access for those boaters, concessions and even allowing dogs in the park. She says one concern she hears quite a lot about is the perception about safety especially in light of tragic events like the shooting death of State Trooper Trevor Casper last week in a shootout with a bank robbery suspect. She says people are also worried about the growing use of heroin and she thinks people would like to see a bigger police presence. Miller says one of the reasons she’s running is because she would like to see more efforts to make the City a destination. She says she would concentrate especially on Lakeside Park and the Downtown. Miller is one of five candidates running for three seats on the Council.
