Kewaskum Man Identified as Victim in Thanksgiving Day Crash in Northwest WI

A 21-year-old man from Kewaskum has been identified as the
person killed in a rollover crash early Thanksgiving Day in northwest
Wisconsin. The Barron County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Monday
that Cole R. Scheibel was killed in the crash, after the pickup truck he was
driving rolled over on Highway 48 near Cumberland. Authorities say Scheibel was
taken to Cumberland Hospital, where lifesaving measures were unable to save
him. The release says road conditions and alcohol are contributing factors to
the crash. The crash was first reported around 12:14 AM Thursday.
