Sheboygan In Running For Bucks D League Team

A proposal to bring a Bucks D-League Team to Sheboygan may be getting some help from the city. Sheboygan Mayor Mike Vandersteen says the city wants to provide some extra funding to the Lakefront Jewel Group for development. He says,” Part of that is to allow for the use of tax incremental financing and taking any increment that’s paid in taxes, or a pilot or just regular property taxes, and give him a developers incentive for this project.” The Bucks have not made a decision on just where to place the new D-League team, despite announcements earlier this year that they were aiming for a decision to be made by the end of the summer.  Oshkosh and Racine are the other two cities still in the running for the team.
