Oshkosh Man Involved In High Speed Pursuit

A 21-year-old Oshkosh man is facing charges after nearly ramming an Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputy’s car and running into another car after fleeing from that deputy. The deputy was on State Highway 47 when a Buick Skylark pulled into a northbound lane nearly striking the deputy. The State Patrol is investigating the accident.

NFDL Ordinance Would Prohibit Parking In One Block Area Of Harrison Street

Following reconstruction of a portion of Harrison Street the Village Board is considering banning parking on both sides of a section the street. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says that’s because it links up with the much busier Prospect Avenue. He says it would only affect a one block area of Harrison. He says one side of the block is already no parking. He says the plan is to prohibit parking on both sides of the street between Minnesota Avenue and Prospect. No one showed up in opposition during the board’s first reading of the amended ordinance for parking restrictions. He doesn’t see that changing when the board has the second reading and approves the change at its next meeting. He says people who live there have sufficient parking in their driveways and rarely need the extra parking.
