LaClare Farms Among World Cheese Championships Finalists
A Fond du Lac County cheese maker was among the four Wisconsin finalists at the World Cheese Championships in Madison this week. LaClare Farms in Malone entered Evalon, a hard goat’s milk cheese which earned it a spot in the Cheese Championships “Sweet Sixteen.” Other Wisconsin cheese makers from Thorp, Green Bay and Westby also were finalists. Wisconsin had 33 gold medal winners, followed by Switzerland with 7. The Swiss however won top honors with an Emmentaler cheese. LaClare Farms photo.
