Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee Meets For First Time Tuesday

The Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee will meet for the first time Tuesday night. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Rooms D & E of the City-County Government Center. During the meeting a chairperson and vice-chairperson will be selected and meeting times and locations will be discussed. After it adjourns the committee will tour Lakeside Park. Recently the Fond du Lac City Council set some guidelines for the committee. Council President Sam Meyer says the committee is open to discuss anything about the park. One parameter that was set had to do with any discussion of sale of land in the park, which Meyer feels isn’t appropriate for the committee, something he expressed during the last Council meeting. However other Council members felt the committee shouldn’t have its hands tied. The Council decided any discussion about the sale of land regarding the park should be brought to the Council immediately.
